Children Working With Disabled

The main rationale behind this is to dispel the myth amongst children that the disabled are not capable of learning a skill. It also reinforces the idea amongst the children that the disabled are just like any other person persevering on with life. If we educate the children of today on people with disability, the adults of tomorrow will have no issues working with people with disability. This is the essence of the program.

Young children will learn about disability through games, singing, and solving puzzles.
The program comprises of four stations:

  1. Singing using sign language with the hearing impaired
  2. Dessert decoration with the mentally challenged
  3. Popiah making with the physically handicapped
  4. Da – Vinci code breaking using Braille with the visually impaired.

Each child will spend 20 – 30 minutes at each station and through a series of questionnaires understand people with disabilities.
