Meet some of our
STALL LEADER, DRINKS
Dignity Kitchen’s resident kopi master, Peter has been with the Project Dignity family for close to a decade. Affectionately known as “Uncle Peter”, he always has a smile for every customer who orders drinks from him. As is he is little hard of hearing, do sign your kopi or teh order to him in Singaporean sign language.
STALL ASSISTANT, ROJAK
Roger was a successful financial consultant and property agent (and part-time model) for over 20 years until he suffered a stroke in 2010 that paralysed his right body and affected his speech. After training under Dignity Learn's F&B Train-and- Place Programme, he now runs an entire rojak stall with one hand.
STALL LEADER, BAKERY
Hearing-impaired by birth, the expert baker was a talented Chinese dim sum chef with over 15 years of experience. After attending the F&B Train-and-Place Programme with Dignity Learn, she now runs the halal-certified bakery stall with Uncle Tiong. Known to most as Mdm Tay, she finds the most joy in baking muffins and cookies.
“I love coming over here to order my kopi from Uncle Peter and Lisa.”
“No one does pastries and dimsum as well as Mdm Tay and Uncle Tiong. I like the curry puff especially.”
