Hawker for a Day

Rent and run a food stall for half a day at Dignity Kitchen. Together with your colleagues and friends, try your hand at local dishes like rojak and nasi padang and serve them during our daily lunch treats for the elderly.

Duration: Half day

Price: $800 per stall (includes stall rental, ingredients for the dishes, training by Dignity Kitchen™ hawkers, lunch and drinks for participants).

Price includes 7% GST

Number of Pax: A minimum of 2 stalls must be booked for the programme to run. Each stall can accommodate a maximum of 7 people and we can cater up to 50 pax.

Itinerary:

  • Safety and hygiene briefing
  • Team allocation and stall assignment
  • Learning from the hawkers and food preparation
  • Serving the elderly (you can also choose to sponsor!)
  • Lunchbreak
  • Debrief and sharing on Project Dignity, social entrepreneurship and innovation

Cook, Bake and Serve

Spend a day at Dignity Kitchen with your colleagues and friends, and learn how to make local delights like dim sum or rojak. Whatever you make will be served to the elderly during our daily lunch treats.

Duration: Half day (morning or afternoon)

Price: $45 per pax (includes ingredients for the dishes, training by Dignity Kitchen™ hawkers, lunch and drinks for participants)

Price includes 7% GST

Number of Pax: A minimum of 6 participants is required for the programme to run. We can cater up to 50 pax. 

Itinerary:

  • Safety and hygiene briefing
  • Team allocation
  • Learning from the hawkers and food preparation
  • Serving the elderly (only applicable for morning sessions combined with Lunch Treat for the Elderly)
  • Meal break
  • Debrief and sharing on Project Dignity, social entrepreneurship and innovation

Lunch Treat for the Elderly

Celebrate your birthday or company’s anniversary in a meaningful way by serving lunch to the elderly from care centres. For just $25, a resident can enjoy a home-cooked meal - karaoke transport included.

Duration: 2 hours (only weekday afternoons during lunch)

Price: $24 per elderly. $960 per busload of 40 elderly residents (includes transport costs).

Price includes 7% GST

Number of Pax: No minimum number of sponsors. We accept group as well as individual sponsorships.

Itinerary:

  • Safety and hygiene briefing
  • Serving the elderly

Additional notes:

  1. We accept group and individual sponsorships.
  2. Choose to sponsor and serve or just sponsor
  3. Combine this with Hawker for a Day or Cook, Bake and Serve. Priced separately.

Working with the Disabled

Achieve corporate team-building or Values-in Action objectives through interactive games facilitated by stall managers at Dignity Kitchen. Learn to work and communicate with differently-abled people.

Duration: 3 hours (morning or afternoon)

Price: $42 per participant (includes a light snack and drink). Please note that serving lunch to the elderly is not included in this programme.

Price includes 7% GST

Number of Pax: A minimum of 20 participants is required for the programme to run. We can cater up to 30 pax per session.

Itinerary:

  • Short briefing
  • Team allocation and assignment to the different stations, including serving on a wheelchair and learning sign language
  • Meal break
  • Debrief and sharing on Project Dignity, social entrepreneurship and innovation

Learning Journey

Interested learning about workplace inclusion, social entrepreneurship, and social innovation? Come down to Dignity Kitchen for an hour and we will share Project Dignity's 8-year journey of ups and downs. 

Duration: 1 hour

Price: $15 per pax (includes snacks and drinks). $20 per pax (includes a full lunch). Please note that serving lunch to the elderly is not included in this programme.

Price includes 7% GST

Number of Pax: A minimum number of 30 participants is required for the programme to run. We can cater up to 60 people.

  • Welcome and introduction
  • Presentation by Project Dignity's management

Visit Dignity Kitchen

Drop in for a morning kopi or brunch. All 7 stalls are run by people with disabilities and socially disadvantaged, including an expert baker who's hearing-impaired. If you bump into one of us in a “Serve With Dignity” tee, do remember to say “Hi!”.

Visit Dignity Mama

Visiting a loved one or studying in a café at NUH, Khoo Teck Puat or Ng Teng Fong? Pop by for a quick muffin break at one of our our pre-loved book stores run by young adults with disabilities and their caregivers.
